“Rambo: Last Blood” is set to release in theaters in September of 2019. “Rambo” is a movie series that has been around for decades. It has a lot of action, blood and violence. If you have the stomach for it, I definitely recommend you give it a watch.
The synopsis of “Rambo: Last Blood” is Rambo crossing the US-Mexico border to save the daughter of a friend in need. If you know anything about Mexico, then you know it’s notorious for its cartel.
Guess who has to take down this posse? None other than Sylvester Stallone (Rambo). If you have seen any of the “Rocky” movies or “Expendables” movies, then you know who this badass is. This guy creates a lot of buzz in the movie industry and his physique furnaces said buzz.
No secret, Stallone has had a stellar physique for his entire acting career. This is why he has been around for so long. I mean, holy moly, the dude is 73 years old! This goes against the laws of nature. From a human physiology perspective, it’s bewildering. But it’s total proof you can have an amazing physique at any age with the right approach!
Stallone’s body fat is virtually nonexistent. This, combined with broad shoulders, creates a V-shaped torso that girls can’t resist. Literally! According to evolutionary psychology, a perfect shoulder-to-waist ratio is the most attractive physical trait of a man.

How Big Is Sylvester Stallone?
Surprisingly, Sylvester Stallone is not as tall as the silver screen may portray him. He stands at an average 5 feet 10 inches tall and sits about 185 pounds. After analyzing his physique, there is no way he’s anything more than 6 to 8 percent body fat. Truth be told, I’m baffled by this considering he’s 73. (I still can’t get over this.)
He puts in the work, though. According to “Men’s Health,” Stallone would consume up to 25 cups of coffee a day when training for the “Rocky III” movie. This is taking the Kino approach to intermittent fasting a little too far.
Key Characteristics of Sylvester Stallone’s Physique
It goes without saying, but consuming 25 cups of coffee a day is insanely unhealthy. This just goes to show some of the rigorous routines these celebrities go through to prepare for a film.

The standing barbell press, coupled with weighted dips, will build you this physique. Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Rambo: Last Blood’ Workout Routine
Here’s the deal: This isn’t the exact workout routine that Sylvester Stallone used when training for “Rambo,” but it will give you the body you’re looking for. (That is if you’re looking for a body that is utterly ripped and capable of kicking ass and taking names too.)
To get a physique like Rambo, you need to focus on getting stronger on the key lifts that target Rambo’s key characteristics. As you become stronger with these movements, your body will transform with a strong, V-shaped torso, a taut chest, rock-hard shoulders and dense arms… just like Rambo. We’ll also be adding some volume to your muscle by incorporating a little recipe we like to call MEGA (minimum effort growth acceleration) training. This is your assurance to maximize muscle growth.
This training philosophy can be found in the Greek God Program. MEGA training increases sarcoplasmic hypertrophy in your muscles. Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy increases fluid to the muscle tissue. Higher reps and shorter rest periods are the gateways to this training method, making you bigger and beastly.

Workout Routine Continued
The “Rambo” workout routine is composed of only two workouts. Each workout will be done on nonconsecutive days, three days a week. You will hit your chest, shoulders, triceps and abs on one day, and your back, biceps and legs on the other day. On the third day, you will go back to Workout A and then the following week you will start with Workout B. (So A-B-A on the first week and B-A-B the next week.)
Approaching your training this way will allow your local neurons to recharge faster, causing maximum strength gains. Local neurons fire a specific muscle group when you lift and take 4-5 days to recharge. That’s why this workout routine is ideal for strength and muscle.
Workout A: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and Abs
- Weighted Dips: 3 sets x 4-5, 6-7, 8-10 reps (reverse pyramid training)
- Standing Press: 3 sets x 6-8, 8-10, 8-10 reps (reverse pyramid training)
- Triceps Rope Pushdowns: 3 sets x 6-8, 8-10, 10-12 reps (reverse pyramid training)
- Lateral Raises: 1 set x 12-15 reps + 3 mini-sets x 4-6 reps (rest-pause training)
- Hanging Knee Raises: 3 sets x 8-12 reps (straight sets)
Workout B: Back, Biceps and Legs
- Weighted Chinups: 3 sets x 4, 6, 8 reps (reverse pyramid training)
- Incline Dumbbell Hammer Curls: 3 sets x 6-8, 6-8, 8-10 reps (reverse pyramid training)
- Bulgarian Split Squats: 4 sets x 6-8 reps (Kino rep training)
- Dumbbell Romanian Deadlifts: 4 sets x 10-12 reps (Kino rep training)
- Face Pulls: 4 sets x 12-15 reps (Kino rep training)
You will base your progress on how strong you’re getting. Most people base their progress off of how sore they get. Soreness doesn’t correlate to muscle growth. Muscle growth is directly proportional to how strong you’re getting on the key lifts.
Using low volume and heavier weights, increasing the weight you’re using over time will determine how much muscle you gain.
‘Rambo: Last Blood’ Workout Notes
The “Rambo” workout routine will develop you the V-shaped torso that will make you the most physically attractive version of yourself.
In the “Rambo” workout, you’ll be doing reverse pyramid training, rest-pause training, straight sets and Kino rep training.
Reverse pyramid training is where you start your first working set with the heaviest weight right after you warm up. This is great for strength gains since you’re fully fresh for your first set.
Rest-pause training makes you lift an additional three mini-sets after your first set, resting only 15-20 seconds between each set.
Straight sets will have you use the same weight for each set, and using the same rep range.
Kino rep training will have you start with a lighter weight and have you work your way up the ladder (increasing weight) until you can’t reach the rep range on the last set.
Sylvester Stallone has admitted to taking HGH (human growth hormone) previously for his “Rambo” roles. To maintain the muscle he has at his age, taking supplements is essential.
