Read about Scott’s journey…

What Kinobody program did you follow to achieve your transformation?

I followed Aggressive Fat Loss 2.0.

What kind of workouts were you doing before following the Aggressive Fat Loss Program? (And were you getting any results?)

I had been doing p90x and Insanity workouts for several years. Initially I had lost a bunch of weight when I had ballooned up to 190. But I never really gained much strength because the workouts were mostly cardio or pump up based. I enjoyed them, but I was vastly over-training and getting injuries because I didn’t have adequate rest. Their diet plans were way too clean and too difficult to follow. The thought of not being able to include my favorite foods was daunting. So because I was over-training, my cravings and appetite were generally insatiable. I had no idea how many calories I was taking in and just seemed to want to eat and eat. The result was I was gaining fat and doing too much cardio, thus getting nowhere fast.

What did you like best about the Aggressive Fat Loss Program?

The simplicity of the workouts, and the fact that the diet is so easy and flexible. Other diets are so rigid and hard to follow. A lot of them force you to eat way too clean to be sustainable in the real world. Since you don’t have to cut any foods out completely, the cravings are always taken care of. For example, I enjoy ice cream and cookies, and pretty much every single night on the program I left just enough room to have a small portion and I was totally satisfied.

What was the most significant change for you after using the Kinobody workouts?

My waist has never been this small in my entire adult life. Prior to doing this program my waist always fluctuated between 32 and 34 inches. Now it’s about 30.5! The other significant change is that I don’t eat breakfast anymore since I intermittent fast, and I’m now a coffee drinker!

How is your life better after following the Aggressive Fat Loss Program?

Every Spring I always say that I want to get in great shape for summer. And each year I end up over-training and as a result, overeating. This year was different. I decided to buckle down and follow the program as closely as possible while still having a life. So that meant for the first time ever actually tracking calories, and building up the weights I was lifting. I couldn’t be happier with the results I achieved in such a short period of time. Achieving this goal has given me the confidence of knowing that I can achieve other goals as well.

What advice would you give someone who is about to follow the same program?

Don’t let the simplicity throw you. I always thought more was better when it came to exercise volume and time in the gym. It turns out that less is better. A LOT better actually. And of course tracking calories makes all the difference. At first it’ll seem like a chore to do it, but when the results come you’ll not mind and it’ll just be part of your routine. Once I really started to know how many calories were in various foods, I was able to eyeball it much better when I was eating out and unable to measure out my ingredients.

Any final notes?

I’m so psyched that I can do weighted chin ups with 60 pounds now! At 5 foot 7 and 158 pounds its pretty good. I gained strength in all the major exercises on the routine, my waist shrunk. I’m still not at 6% body fat yet, but I know that when I start my next cut, I will get there. I remember you told me at the meet up, to not try to get so low in one attempt. So for the past 2 weeks I’ve eaten more so I can gear up for the next cut! I now know that even if I do go out to a nice dinner and go over maintenance, that I can quickly rebound within a day or 2 and get back to dropping fat. During this cut I had actually gone on a 5 day vacation to Disney and certainly ate at a surplus most days. The fasting helped greatly, but within a few days of coming home and starting the deficit, I was at a lower weight than before I left. So yeah, a high calorie day here and there is not going to kill you. Gotta enjoy life!
